No wonder this is a secret. So cringe.

Why is it cringe lol, people can worry about fictional animals as well as fictional people

(Anonymous) 2020-12-05 01:16 am (UTC)(link)
you're cringe.

How is this a cringe? People like animals. People instinctively bond with them. People instinctively like the animals we've domesticated. This is true of real life animals, and this is also true of fictional animals created based on those real life animals. A perfectly natural response.

People who post "cringe" like it means anything are just showing off a pitifully clenched ass. If you're that affected in embarrassment by something some stranger does that has no connection to you, that is very much a you problem.

How on earth is this cringe? Have you never been in a movie theatre where audiences will sit silently through a high human kill count but gasp in dismay if something happens to the dog. People love animals.

(Anonymous) 2020-12-05 12:27 am (UTC)(link)
I always worry about animals in things too, OP!

(Anonymous) 2020-12-05 12:48 am (UTC)(link)
The dog was gay and is thus condemned to turbo hell. It's the only explanation i can think of.

(Anonymous) 2020-12-05 12:50 am (UTC)(link)
I kept my eye out for that damn dog the entirety of the last episode.

I guess that not all doggos go to heaven :(

(Anonymous) 2020-12-05 05:59 am (UTC)(link)
I refuse to accept that not all doggos go to heaven and want to believe that Dean's dog went to see its previous owners first when it died and will meet up with Dean later on.

(Anonymous) 2020-12-05 12:54 am (UTC)(link)
The dog's immortal.

(Anonymous) 2020-12-05 01:09 am (UTC)(link)
I don't get why they brought in the dog and then didn't do anything with him.

(Anonymous) 2020-12-05 02:00 am (UTC)(link)
this show forgot about a 3rd winchester brother, so i'm not surprised it forgot about the dog.

(Anonymous) 2020-12-05 02:20 am (UTC)(link)
Hey now, they did bring Adam back for the finale season. Not sure why though, since he only showed up once and was killed off offscreen.

(Anonymous) 2020-12-05 04:39 am (UTC)(link)
lmaooo

I remember seeing the gifs of Adam (Michael) in flames, the text stating "Still in the cage! Still in hell!" and he's just doing the Carlton lol. This was a year or two after the cage/Michael incident. No one every brought him up or anything.

Yeah that was sad. I wanted a happy Dean and dog reunion.

Bonus points if the Dean like slow mo runs to the dog and Sam who has been waiting to reunite with Dean for years is just standing there like ??? I'm your brother!

(Anonymous) 2020-12-05 04:41 am (UTC)(link)
anon below you

This would have been gold! lol but they were going for more sentiment than laughs so....but I'd be there for this alt ending!

(Anonymous) 2020-12-05 03:15 am (UTC)(link)
My fan theory, as I was also concerned about this dog:

I will maintain that the dog was in its golden years (or in the adult years in the very least) and that it was a stray or adopted from a pound.

1. They would leave the dog to roam when they went on hunts. Or left it in the compound with those time release food and water stuff and a doggy door.

2. They brought the dog along with them (this would be later). And they stay at motels so who's watching anyway?

3. Sam took the dog with him and either
A) gave it away or to some family with kid during some hunt
B) the dog didn't have long to live

4. All dogs go to heaven, but Dean wasn't really invested in the dog. It's possible the dog forgot about Dean and would have preferred to see someone else anyway. Like the old lady who used to care for him. And Dean was really only concerned with Sam anyway, so when the unnamed dog appears, I imagine it will be a visit later with Cas.

I really like your fan theory, anon. It makes me feel better about the fate of the dog 'cause I was worried about him too.

(Anonymous) 2020-12-05 04:56 am (UTC)(link)
Here's another possibility: the dog is immortal.

We don't see it in heaven because it's STILL ALIVE even though Sam died of old age. Sam's son inherits it. His child will inherit it. And so on, so on, until the heat death of the universe.

Secret: the dog is the real new God.

My theory is that the dog unfortunately did something that barred it from heaven.

I'm sorry to say this but Dean's funeral pyre was not large enough to burn his body to ashes.
It simply would not have been able to generate the amount of heat needed with the quantity of wood that was there.

I think that Sam had no choice but to let the dog consume Deans well roasted body.

(Anonymous) 2020-12-05 05:21 am (UTC)(link)
THIS IS IT. THIS IS THE COMMENT THAT KILLED ME YOUR HONOR. OH MY GOD

(Anonymous) 2020-12-05 05:28 am (UTC)(link)
Dude, do you have any idea how long it would take for a dog that size to eat a well-roasted Dean? No one has that kind of time. With enough gasoline and a bellows, that pyre was plenty big enough.
