I don't truly understand how we've come to the point where fantasizing about famous people is something we have to self-flagellate about. (No pun intended.)

It's pretty weird. I feel like people outside of media/SF/F fandom would find it strange that we consider fantasizing about people who *don't* exist, to be the normal reaction and act like fantasizing about celebrities as themselves is wrong.
