This is why it bugged me, it's so rare to have an opposite sex friendship in a mainstream show or film that *doesn't* end up having a romantic element. It would've been better to leave them as BFFs imo.

I think with Claudia they just ran out of time, because cancellation was perhaps sooner than they hoped. So I let it slide because they had to wrap it up and they'd obviously set that up anyway. It seemed fitting regardless because she'd started to accept her relationship with the Warehouse.

Nothing will ever convince me Pete/Myka endgame was well thought out though - short on time or not!
