I don't know much about BAP but I know they paved the way in a sense. Early 2000s k-pop in my funny POV was mostly "k-pop boygroups called B___ who are Bad Boys" starting with Big Bang but also Beast and then the influx of BAP, Block B, BTOB, B1A4, Big Star ... I don't know, the way BTS seemingly had everything in order to fail (way to debut as "just another group, but from nugu bzn"!) and ultimately did a 180° is funny to me to this day.
No matter how you think about it, BTS is special BECAUSE they had everything to fail from the beginning and somehow managed not to.

Big Bang! Super Junior! Beast! Was Lucifer a group too or was it just a song? And my personal faves 2PM (heart eye emojis).

I miss them :(((

No comment on the actual secret, just happy to see Big Bang (and their song Bad Boy lmao that song always makes me laugh).

Lucifer was Shinee :)

Shinee was my favorite (second is TVXQ/DBSK) and man I struggle to listen to Shinee anymore without getting sad. I can't listen to the new stuff. It just isn't the same.

Oh i miss that era of kpop, everything was wacky before they all settled on the more generic stuffwe have now.

I feel same about the shinee thing, i really want to continue to support them but it's just impossible to listen to the new stuff :(

Exactly. BTS had the disadvantages of being 'no one', of being managed by a company that isn't one of the Big Three.
