Fanfic Writing Advice

(Anonymous) 2020-12-08 11:48 pm (UTC)(link)
I am thinking about writing some mpreg fic. It would be my first time writing it and I'm trying to find good examples of it in fanfiction so I know what it looks like done right. Any recommendations? Any tips?

Don't bash the canon female characters while writing it. And have fun. That's my advice.

Abandon the idea of what's 'right'. Fics where authors are slogging to meet some arbitrary moral level are usually boring asf to read. Write what you want to read and enjoy it.

There is no 'right'. With mpreg, the more ridiculous the scenario the better it tends to be. Let your imagination run wild and free.

There's really no "doing it right." It can be a serious or silly as you want it to be.

That said, mpreg is not my thing, but I do recall enjoying this serious take on it in this BtVS fic from years ago.

C-section, not anal birth. (Unless you're writing A/B/O.)
