Like fuck we get it that you hate disney, but bloody well /read/ what people say before trying to get off on failing to ridicule it. Move along.

I did. And I've also watched all the princess movies, and if you think that the bulk of them have princes falling for their princesses because they have witnessed their courageousness and kindness, then you probably should actually watch some of the movies before you comment. Of the 10 official Disney Princesses where a prince plays a major role in the proceedings, half or more of them start their relationships solely based on looks. Hell, two of them aren't even awake for their first kiss. So if the message of the movies are "becoming the sort of person who can be loved by someone else," then "be pretty and good and someone will love you" is generous.

So you're correct. That was a poor interpretation of what was said. Based on your response, it should be:

Be pretty enough and someone will love you. Being pretty and unconscious won't hurt.

I mean they're right, though. There's literally no reason to be so angry about the perceived attractiveness of fictional (drawn, not even real human) characters unless you've got some serious internal issues going on.

I'm squarely in the realm of average looks-wise and I don't feel threatened by or bitter about how pretty a cartoon character is. It's a cartoon character. They're all "pretty" unless they're specifically drawn not to be.
