Johnlock was my primary OTP for several years, and I completely agree. It was never actually queerbaiting. The most they ever did was acknowledge that some people might potentially think they were together, in order to be able to immediately shoot the idea down and make a joke about how totally off the mark it was. *exhausted sigh*
