I also shipped Johnlock and also did not buy into TJLC even a little, and yes, I agree with this. It was a weird thing to share space with. Like, as a hardcore shipper who was very invested in Johnlock, there was definitely gravity well, there. A longing for this crazy theory to be true, which made it a little bit painful to be constantly seeing it everywhere and having to repeatedly be like, "Not today, Satan." (or, well, the atheist equivalent of not today satan)
