So this is not going to sound cool to start with...

A few summers ago I went to one of the local stone circles for the summer solstice. It's a hot bed of hippies, and there were lots of drum circles going on. (And I always, always think of South Park!)

Anyway, the sun's just starting to rise and it's blue-ass cold, and we walk out a bit further into the landscape.

What I didn't realise until that moment was that the sound of drums beating carries a long way. So the sun was rising over the stones and low lying mist, and the entire land was thrumming with this almost primal beat and it was just in-fucking-credible.

And then we went and had a fry up and went back to bed because it was 5am lolol.
