I went to the Boseong tea plantation and Damyang bamboo theme park on a weekend trip. It was wonderful because getting off the beaten track gave me tons of chances to practice my Korean and trust myself more. I used Korean most of the time (at stores, taxis, trains) when I lived in Korea but in Seoul, you can always fall back on English because it's very common and down there, it really wasn't the case so it was great practice and really affirmed that all the classes paid off. I went a bunch of other places but that's an experience I'm thinking about a lot lately.
