I hear what you're saying at all, but wouldn't it be worse if no-one said anything or cared? :/ Besides, it's also possible that Hollywood whitewashing didn't really occur to a lot of people until they saw it in action. *shrugs* Anything that gets people aware of and angry about racism is alright in my books.

157. If you liked Sacred Stones, you'll love the others. (Sadly, there isn't as much fandom for it as there is for 7 and 9/10. I don't know why. D:) If you're really worried about not being good at them, I would download an FE7 emulator for Virtual Boy and make use of being able to reset states.

167. Ahaha, I'm similar. I hardly ever actually dislike characters who aren't explicitly meant to be hated; worst thing that happens is usually that I find them boring.

168. Find the LJ community for your fandom, look through the fics tags. Better yet, find a reclist. At least 30% of fic for most given fandoms will be porny.

I have to say I agree with this. While I can totally see where the OP is coming from, at least something has made people realize there is a problem.

Actually, racism only exists when someone points to it! If people didn't make such a big deal about it, it wouldn't even be there! Jeez, have you learned nothing from these race wanks?

It's not talked about often. A lot of people seem to think racism is not a serious issue anymore. Sure, it will show up on the news, but not too many people watch the news anymore and even if they do, it doesn't seem to affect them. But Avatar being something they love and definitely something that is apart of their lives has shown there is a problem with racism still. It IS affecting them now. It's just like how some people handle other serious issues. Some people don't consider them a big deal because it isn't happening to them, until it is, and they wake up. It's unfortunate people didn't realize it sooner, but at least something did.
