103. To be fair, there are so many issues with the world, I think it's safe to assume that the majority of people who work towards fixing them probably didn't give them a lot of specific focus until said issues affected something they cared about.

Frankly, I think it's just a wee bit completely moronic of you to judge how people become motivated to take notice of Something Wrong and object to it. Who gives a shit why people are inspired to make an effort to try to fix things so long as there is an effort?

118. Agreed. While of course I know art theft is wrong, I can't help but think it's ultimately incredibly stupid to think that anything you put on the internet isn't going to be stolen and used without your knowledge or permission.

123. Of course! :D I love talking to people from places and cultures different than mine. Even if there is a slight language barrier. Man, that's what God created Babelfish for, ;)

128. I've noticed that there seems to be a certain type of people who often hang around the manga section at bookstores. They irritate the piss out of me. Their most common form is the Immobile Parentless Preteen -- these creatures park themselves in the middle of the manga aisle and just sit there and read. For fucking EVER. They will not acknowledge other people. They will not move. They might as well be chained to the goddamn shelves. The second most common form I've noticed is the one you mention -- the slightly-older-than-preteens who have a Mulder-like paranoia of sharing the aisle with another human. These ones often determinedly keep their distance from anyone who comes to browse nearby in a way that is amusingly reminiscent of that sheep herding game my sister used to play. They also tend to shoot filthy looks at people and occasionally I've encountered ones that got increasingly impatient with anyone else being in THEIR aisle, and would shuffle and fidget and take out books just to bang them back against the back of the shelf and sigh and cast continually desperate furtive glances at whoever is close by as if they thought they were about to get caught doing something criminal.

It's actually really entertaining. These are the same people I suspect of being the ones who take the plastic wrap off the 16+ rated manga and stuff it behind other books. They probably take it to the Yu-Gi-Oh section and stand pressed against the shelf trying to make it look like they're reading about cardgames and not unhealthily codependent sexual relationships between men with anatomically unlikely-sized reproductive organs.

131. Webber is not a talentless hack. If you think he is, you've clearly never seen Miss Saigon. That said... neither he nor Sondheim have produced anything of quality since almost before I was born.

Anyway, nothing -- absolutely nothing -- will ever be as epic a failure as Sondheim's attempt at pretending he isn't going senile. Bounce may easily be the worst musical ever made.
