103. It... doesn't actually work that way? Anything that brings social injustices to light is a GOOD thing. Anything that gets people to pay attention to them is a GOOD thing. At least, in my opinion, of course. That's what I tend to think, though.

114. Then don't read them? Seriously, why do you CARE if someone else writes fanfiction? Speaking as a fanfic writer, I don't do it because people are interested. I do it because I WANT to. I post it because people might be interested. If no one's interested, oh well! It's written, out of my head, there in case someone IS interested, and those who aren't have scrolled on by.

And, here's the sucky part for you: telling them that you like it and to write more means that you're one of those people who are interested. If you hate this so much, STOP ENCOURAGING IT.

123. ABSOLUTELY. In fact, I'll put my money where my mouth is and say that if you want, go ahead and friend me. I'll friend back.

155. YES. I'mma have to start reading Cracked now. I was bullied as well; I got the, "They're just jealous" write-off excuse, personally. I'm willing to bet, "They're abused at home" is just as helpful as, "They're just jealous" was for me: not at all. During your early school years, you don't CARE why they're bullying you. It hurts and you want them to STOP. Trying to get the person being bullied to be sympathetic towards the bully is, imo, a GREAT way to teach kids how to NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR ACTIONS. "I have a bad homelife so it's okay for me to be a dick! :D" Nope.

175. That would be my one and only goal for getting any of my original work published. XD

And also "they're abused at home" could backfire. I mean, you're possibly telling a young kid who's being bullied some really sensitive information and acting like it's supposed to make them act maturely and kindly to the bully. As opposed to maybe use that as a weapon back at them (i.e., no wonder your father beats you--you're horrible and you deserve it).

I can understand talking to the victim if it would help them to understand that the bully has problems--iow, that it's not their fault they're being bullied, that maybe the bully at least unhappy as well as mean. But it's really just about stopping the bullying.
