I just went off on a tangent to one of my friends about my love for Gotham. When it was bad, it was very bad, but when it was good, it was fucking transcendental. 😂

This is so damn true though.. like, it was such a weird balance of OTT wackiness with some very subdued and skilled emotional scenes and performances. And a shocking amount of continuity in terms of characterization (except fuck Lee/Nygma). When it was good, it was so damn good and when it was bad, it was crap.

I need a new show and I've been thinking about Gotham so I'm gonna go a bit off topic to ask, does it have a proper/planned ending or was it canceled unexpectedly?

I heard they planned for 7 seasons and only got 5. I'd say the ending isn't great but it makes sense for the characters.

OP - If I remember right, they knew ahead of time the 5th season was the last one, so it wasn't great but it WAS pre-planned and wraps up well.

It has an ending. It's very Gotham about it though. So if you can make it that far I doubt it'd be a problem.
