tbh this is a bit weird but, if there's an email I'm scared to read, I'll wake up in the middle of the night to read it. If it's good, yay! I can go back to sleep delighted and if it's bad, I can cry myself to sleep and, when I wake up in the morning, it never feels quite as bad.
