Not really related to the secret, but ew, that's one very unappealing picture of a pomegranate. I wonder who looked at that and went: yes! That's exactly the aesthetic I'm going for!"

I'm oddly impressed by how viscerally unpleasant that picture is to look at. It's literally just a perfectly ordinary pomegranate cut in half, maybe a little roughly. And I love pomegranates! Not even really for the taste, mostly because they're fun to pick apart and the arils have this pretty, almost gem-like quality to look at. But in this picture, something about the way it's presented just looks... gory. I guess it IS appropriate for vampires, but still. Puts me off pomegranates for a while.
