I had kids' books in the late 80s about climate change where children asked their parents to describe trees and birds because they'd never seen either, and some of them were from the 70s. I can't remember not knowing about global warming.

I knew about it obviously, but it was still a far flung concept. Before the reality of it started to bite.

I feel you. I was aware of climate change growing up in the 90s, but most people weren't stressed about it. There weren't two dozen daily habits to feel guilty about because they were bad for the planet.
