I'm just...LOL.
That manga you linked is fucking awesome. What the shit.
I'm honestly over Hetalia too. Honestly? Not my cup of tea, but you kids can enjoy your sandbox. (I mean, look at my fandom. Naruto isn't much better.) It's just irritating to see hate secrets over and over and over again.
I need to stop reading Hetalia secrets. /fail

Oh and I think people bitch about Hetalia is because it characterizes a whole country perhaps? Atleast that's what I think. Not quite sure.

As for why people bitch about Hetalia... (I swear someday we'll see someone bitch about Hetalia!England's thick eyebrows.) Actually, I can see why someone would find it offensive but we're weeks into the Hetalia Rage and while it was funny in the beginning, it's getting incredibly boring and annoying. (Also, it's not like it's the first ever manga that features anthropomorphic countries/other potentially offensive subjects, nor the most potentially offensive of its kind. *AHEM*Afganis-tan*AHEM*)

Well as for me, F!S introduced me to Hetalia and it was my first anthropomorphic countries that I've ever seen. (Maybe I don't get out moar in the internets..I don't know.)
The only problem I had ever with Hetalia was that one request of the kink meme, other then that I have no problem. (Yes I know fandom =/= kink meme, but it still upset me a bit.)

I suppose the only reason Hetalia is so 'prominent' is that because unlike say Afganis-tan or Strike Witches (which are aimed at male otaku) it has a relatively large fandom here at LJ. In any case, I totally respect people finding the series or fanworks about it offensive or simply not liking it (though truth be told, canon is not the insensitive and offensive BL fest that fandom or haters may make it look like), but yeah, it's been weeks and this fixation on Hetalia over here is getting really, really boring and annoying. (And I would feel the same even if I didn't like the series... it was the same with the Joker and Twilight.)
Ah well, at least the new Doctor has been announced recently, hopefully the wank over that will steal the limelight... :D;;
