Nostradamus has long since left the building. The shippers are going to be mad regardless. Apparently the line between fiction, want, reality, and an absolute lack of common sense, has long since passed.
The Eddie/Venom ship- well, it's exactly that. A ship. It's not canon, so people are going to pissed no matter what happens.

They (somehow) get together romantically? It's a poor representation of nonbinary/parasitical/symbiotic relationships. That it promotes abuse and an unhealthy dependancy between partners and should be shamed.
When they don't get together romantically? The creators themselves are clearly spiting in the face of all the fans who shipped them, making this a personal attack against all shippers everywhere. Followed by accusations of queer-baiting, that their initial relationship was only a means to lure people in, get some sales, but never with any real intention to follow up on it.

And my personal favourite- those who have absolute /zero/ understanding of what it means to ship anything at all. That strong as your headcanon may be, /that/ /doesn't/ /make/ /it/ /canon/!! By any means.
Character not ending up together is not some sort of fuck you by the show runners. It does not make the shippers look like fools in the process. It's just facts.

+1

We're gonna see 20 think-pieces about how Eddie/Venom not being canon is some 'queerbait of the century' because for some reason fans don't seem to ship for the enjoyment of it anymore. It has to be canon.
