Actually IA. As someone who reads BL manga and novels, I get where you are coming from: some smut-free (or almost that) BL I have read are way up there in my favorite works OF ART, GENERALLY, but when there is porn there is hardly any balance; the sex becomes an essential part of the narrative to the point that it's either a) porn w/o plot or b) so convoluted that some of the meaning is lost if you just skip it; unlike some 50SOG stuff you can't dissociate the porn, it's just not meant to be read like that (by skipping it like it's Something Else). So, yeah, just skipping isn't ok either. So I do feel you.

I'm a sex repulsed ace cis female btw. Eventually I got used (like you get used to anything unpleasant) to fictional sex scenes esp. between males though I still feel uneasy by some. But at some point in life I could relate to this 100% so eh.

Oh and before I forget, here are some of my recommendations I guess, if you're feeling like it. Most novels do have some porn but it's VERY occasional and very skippable, the kind you can replace with "they fkd and are happy" and the story remains the same.

Not OP but thank you for the list!
I like romance more so than sex scenes in general (normally I can put up with it or just skim through a smut scene unless it's emotionally charged - either written or in a comic/manga), so I understand OP's preference. Some people are in it for the porn and some people are in it for the romance and some lucky people are ok with both - it's always hilarious when people show preference for something over the sexual elements and get accused of being homophobic or prudes for it. Like chill, the romance genre is huge and sometimes people want to read something more specific - it's seldom ever that deep.
