Judge away - OP is, after all. For the record, this secret wouldn't have bothered me if they just neutrally said they downloaded fic so they could change some minor parts they didn't care for or that triggered them or whatever. The fact that they wrote a fucking tl;dr wall of text about how desperately all the crappy fics need their oh so great editing skills while simultaneously demonstrating bad writing AND admitting they can't even write mediocre fic themselves...whoo boy, the arrogance...

same. the "I'm so good at editing!" threw me out right away.

but I guess yeah so long as they keep it to themselves and aren't roasting the authors, that's fine. still, I have to wonder about someone spending so much mental effort patting themselves on the back for making other people's fics "better" when...the only judge is themselves and clearly they're making something that appeals to an audience of one. being so proud of it is a little odd but I suppose all we have to judge them on is their own words...

The OP DIDN'T literally say they are "absolutely terrible at producing" a manuscript themselves? They DIDN'T pull out Sturgeon's law (90% of everything is crap) to describe fic that they "make better" with own "great" editing skills? That secret ISN'T poorly written word vomit? Hmm. I guess all my saltiness is interfering with my reading comprehension.
