Re: New Year's Resolutions
(Anonymous) 2020-12-31 04:50 am (UTC)(link)I also stopped walking for exercise after two years of doing 5+ miles a day (in 2018) and 6.5+ a day in 2019. When all the gyms closed suddenly my solitary nighttime walks turned into a procession of recovering gym-buffs out powerwalking. I'm fat and slow and read as I walk except when I'm sticking my nose in flowers and petting random dogs and cats. Maybe I should just buy a treadmill.
I'm hoping to start walking for exercise again this year but we'll see.
I gave up sugar (and honey, agave syrup, all that stuff) for all of January a couple years ago, because I knew I could do a month but probably not a year. If I had lost weight or felt better or been better able to concentrate or even felt any positive difference at all by February 1, I would've kept going. But literally nothing changed for me.
