Oh man, same. The problem is that I find that even though people ask for betas for advice, they don't want to listen. It's not really worth the time and effort just to have people tell you, yeah, you know, I think I'm just going to leave it how it is.

I hate that I'm not a better writer. The problem is that I went to school overseas for a year and that pretty much destroyed my ability to write. I don't usually regret that I went because it was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, but the reality was that it wasn't entirely a positive experience for me.
