(Anonymous) 2021-01-02 05:02 am (UTC)(link)The character doesn't ever show remorse or concern for the fact that she's beating a man to death. That's the part that stood out as the worst to me. She continues to kick him across the pavement multiple times after it's obvious that she has super powers and that he's hurt very badly/probably dead.
The man definitely sexually harassed her earlier in the movie, but she was able to get away from him with some help from Diana. While it was implied that he would continue to harass and possibly do worse things to her, he doesn't do those things. And then she goads him so that she can beat him. It would have been cathartic if she had kicked him, watched him fly backwards and cower away from her. There was no need for the lengthy sequence.
