She was the victim the first time she encountered the guy. The second time, she deliberately got him to go after her again so she could get revenge. And it was satisfying as fuck, but her delight in flogging the corpse goes a little past "she didn't know her own strength."

Okay, but she still had new powers that weren't really hers and she didn't know how to control them. She wanted to beat him up, it sounds like the killing wasn't intentional. Still not seeing event horizon.

The character doesn't ever show remorse or concern for the fact that she's beating a man to death. That's the part that stood out as the worst to me. She continues to kick him across the pavement multiple times after it's obvious that she has super powers and that he's hurt very badly/probably dead.

The man definitely sexually harassed her earlier in the movie, but she was able to get away from him with some help from Diana. While it was implied that he would continue to harass and possibly do worse things to her, he doesn't do those things. And then she goads him so that she can beat him. It would have been cathartic if she had kicked him, watched him fly backwards and cower away from her. There was no need for the lengthy sequence.
