So you're objecting to people using English words instead of words that mean the same thing in their/your first language? Is that what I'm getting from this?

Well - that too. But the thing that REALLY grates my nerves is when people just word-for-word translate English phrases ("sleep over"), or use old-as-balls loanwords that might technically be in the dictionary but were never in common use even when they were registered a hundred and fifty years ago ("emotions").
