AYRT--yeah, rape as a plot device that is forgotten/ignored in the next episode of a show/a sequel doesn't suddenly become a blow struck for gender equality if it's a woman raping a man. It's not empowering. It's still rape, and gross. And it's the furthest thing in the world from sexy to me.

One of the OUAT showrunners said something in the first season about how the sheriff was lucky to be Regina's boytoy.

Which, cool, you have a kink, dude. Could you please realize that just because you find the idea of a hot witchy lady forcing you to fuck her hot, that doesn't mean female on male rape in-universe is nbd. And all the "it's a family show" stuff rings pretty damn hollow.

I would prefer rape as a plot point just not get written anymore, but if someone just has to include it, OUAT is full of examples of what not to do. Sounds like I'll be skipping the new WW, too. And hearing about Grimm kept me from even starting to watch it.
