It was, you know, Stargate, so military and military adjacent, so they were kinda...'we need volunteers' kind of consent. Although, to be fair, the person who was possessed would 'switch' with the other person, so they got to roam around on this distant, amazing spaceship for a while.

But yeah, no, there was not consent for sex. I remember at the time, anybody who was watching was completely turned off. They stopped doing those mind-switches after a while, thank gods, because it really made the plot stupid and slow.

I liked the mind switches. I liked that with the Tok'ra, they shared the body rather than just being possessed totally and that the person possessed got to be the dominant mind too sometimes.

I never liked it. It seemed like a cop-out, on SG:U, and i really was so very bored with the 'tearful/angsty home visit' stories they kept using it for. Less of that, more cool spaceship stuff!
