SA Pressed enter too soon. Thanks for the link. I meant more in general though. When you speak colloquial English and read fic in English written by people from a mix of unknown backgrounds, it kind of all blurs together. I'm sure the person who wrote the fic that irritated OP had no idea, just as most people writing fic in either direction might not. Just seems nicer to cut.people some slack over a hobby rather than being a dick about it.
