Re: The Stand - the series
But I love what they've done with Larry and Nick. And I also love the gender swapped Ray. And as a villain fan, I'm so far really loving the portrayal of Flagg. Horrifying in all the right ways.
Re: The Stand - the series
I confess I have no clue who the Fran actor is at all; her face is totally unfamiliar to me. The Stu actor is...a bit too pretty for Stu, to me. I always pictured him a bit more lanky and weathered and 'Texas cowboy' kind of guy, not this sort of L.L. Bean catalogue model guy. Glen Bateman actor is awesome, too.
This may sound funny but...Flagg in novel and show just gets on my nerves, heh.
Re: The Stand - the series
Yes, Stu isn't coming across as cowboy enough yet, but I'm willing to give him more time.
I totally get why Flagg would annoy you. He just works as a villain for me personally.
Re: The Stand - the series
I wish they'd play up his non-human aspects a little more, even if that isn't quite true to the book until later on.
