No, you're not the only one. Team Cardiff seemed to think so, as does the majority of the British press who have only had good things to say about her.

The 'she can't act' thing got old so long ago.

i just don't get the hate because i think she's gorgeous and has lots of screen presence. will she be winning any awards for marfa jones? well, no, but that's because the character has been written, at best, as an obsessed teen.

I agree. I didn't particularly like Martha as a character because I wanted her to be more of an ~independent Doctor-type and not all love-struck, but I think Freema was fantastic on the show and gorgeous.

Not the ONLY one, of course, but...definitely a very small minority. :P

Uhhh. He died before the film was finished, yes, but other actors were hired to complete the role because the character goes through different dream worlds during the movie, allowing them to script his "transformations." So, yes, once the film finishes production it will be his LAST role. Why so bitchy?

You're so not the only one... because companions are meant to be regular people it's hard for people to understand that they're acting and not just being themselves on camera. People really have to wait until we see her do something different (suvivors doesn't count, she was in it for like 8989 mili seconds) before any one can criticize her.

I for one though think she can act :)

I think it's just left-over companion wank from when Rose left the series. Because you know, she supposedly could never compare. Didn't help when The Doctor treated her like he thought that as well for half of her season.

I thought she was great, and hope she continues to pop up in the Whoniverse. (I still have hopes for her having survived Survivors, as well.)

What does Moffat have to do to appease them? Have a spinoff about Rose and human!Doctor and their perfect love in the alternative universe?
