131. Well said! People should want to take care of themselves for themselves, not so they can look like a certain character. There's nothing wrong with drawing motivation from somewhere, but I think it's weird that people don't take care of themselves because it's good for them, but so they can look better for cosplay. I think it's kind of shallow of them, but hey, whatever gets you out into the real world and exercising.

151. Sounds pretty pathetic. I always feel sorry for anons who say their friends would hate/kill/hurt them over something so stupid and inconsequential. You like what you like, and if your "friends" would hate/kill/hurt you for it, maybe you should just get better friends.
154. I feel like I should be able to say something there, but the only thing I can think of it that it's good you've recognized the pattern, at least. Also "There's a certain tendency to forget that intellectual and emotional maturity don't always match up, and old enough to write porn isn't always old enough to deal with this kind of thing." This is so incredibly true. I can't tell you the number of people near-to or over 30 I've met that are utterly emotionally retarded, fandom obsessed idiots, and I can't count the number of incredibly cool, collected, mature 18-20 year olds I've met. Using weight as the universal measuring-stick of health is inherently shallow – you can be very unhealthy and thin and very healthy and fat, but people think thin is prettier, so that's what they aim for even if it's not what's healthy for their body.
