Yeah the BBC stuff (well drama anyway, other stuff I'm not so sure) is usually in house and ITV stuff is usually commissioned.

Also I love Primeval :P Of course I like Doctor Who and Torchwood as well.

If you want an example of really bad BBC stuff, try Bonekickers. It was the silliest, most ridiculous show ever - brilliant fun, I loved it (tho not for the reasons they wanted I suspect, I don't think I was meant to be laughing and mocking the whole way through).

Primeval I can watch with a group for all the wrong reasons. And oo, Bonekickers. I remember that! Kept snorting my drink through my nose at some of their stuff.

Ahh, bad tellie. where would our lives be without it?

(sorry for the crack at Primeval. Just remember my first reaction was "we already have Torchwood hamming up the sex, do we really need more?")

Lol it's OK. I enjoy Primeval and I have friends who like it. I don't care if other people hate it. Everyone has different tastes.

I do get mildly irritated at people who are clearly looking for serious adult sci-fi and then complain that shows aimed at a family audience (like DW and Primeval) aren't it. They're not meant to be.

Of all the shows they complained about only one is aimed at an adult sci fi audience and that's TW. And let's be honest that's actually aimed at those people who want to sleep with Captain Jack ;)
