That we have to have a nod to minorities in every period film even though society was segregated in the past? Nobody ever said Band of Brothers was racist for not having any black characters because it was based on the experiences of real people in a time when the army was segregated. Spike Lee can (and did) make a movie acknowledging the sacrifice of specific African American soldiers and good for him, not everyone is required to do that facing charges of racism.

Nevermind that one of the main characters in Flags of Our Fathers is a minority, no, it doesn't fucking count unless it's a BLACK PERSON.

Spike Lee never, ever, ever has a valid point. Good on Clint for not changing his film based on historical fact just because Spike got butthurt again. And for the record, Eastwood's films are chock-full of minorities, which Spike would know if he, I don't know, watched them with his eyes.

Also, fuck Miracle at St. Anna. That film was rhetorical bullshit, just like all the rest of his stupid movies.

Lee is a good director and has a lot of good points, but he's also a bit of a drama queen and the allegation in this instance had no real basis in either historical or cinematographical fact.

I agree. He has talent, loads of talent, but, Jesus, every time he opens his mouth he inserts his foot.
