Thin=/=healthy.

I really wish I could get this into my head. While I'm quite slim I'm naturally curvy and don't have a flat belly. I know that it's ridiculous - for one thing when I went along to give blood they tried to turn me away because they thought I was too small - but I feel like I should be thinner.

I have a similar perception concerning my glasses. Due to in part to the cartoons and TV shows I watched when I was in primary school and in part to the attitudes of my peers (this sadly continued through secondary school), I have spent a good chunk of my life believing that because I have glasses I'm unattractive. I like to think that I know better now - I have beeter sef esteem and I know I can be pretty and wear my glasses. However, deep down I still think if I just whipped off my glasses I'd instantly be prettier.

I hate that I have these perceptions. Though knowing they're wrong helped in a way, seeing women like Kirsten Vangsness and Naoko Mori did MUCH more. Show > tell, and all that. I want to see more women like them.

Er, yeah. I rambled rather, but I agree whole-heartedly.

(Also? WW + knitting = best. icon. EVER!
