Yeah, it was gay as hell.

(Anonymous) 2021-01-06 02:37 am (UTC)(link)
lmao come on FS. AM I THE ONLY ONE THAT GOT THIS???

Misha said that yes, it was romantic for Castiel, but no, it was not romantic for Dean. He says the Spanish phrase Destielers were going nuts about was not in the show, that it was a botched translation. He even joked in a tweet about "killing your gays". I really don't get the drama...WHICH IS STILL GOING ON ON TWITTER!

Social media can make a fucking drama over anything. I saw someone kicking off about Rami Malek a 'white guy!!!!!' playing an Egyptian on tumblr yesterday. Fucks sake. How long does it take to google Rami Malek and find out he's of Egyptian descent?

Social media is just a load of junk people being assholes in anyway they can.

I was really curious about the choice to make Dean reciprocate in the Latin American dub and did some digging on it. According to the guy who voices Dean in that dub, it was the director who okayed the line because it better fit the flaps. The voice actor never saw the English script, so he was surprised to hear that the line wasn’t in the original version.

Noooooo you can't just say something is gay based on your own interpretation of it, you have to precisely follow every single thing said outside of the text by the creators to determine whether it officially counts as gay or not, interpreting things for yourself is wrong and not allowed

Honestly, I think it’s really hard to read that scene as anything else but a romantic confession from Cas. Cas has told Dean he loves him before and that time was probably platonic, but this time, he talked about wanting something he could never have just before making this grand speech about how awesome Dean is and then telling him he loved him. I do think that if Cas had been in a female vessel, people wouldn’t be saying that the scene wasn’t meant to be romantic.

Seconding this so hard. I've been known to accidentally interpret slashy things as non-slashy in an effort to compensate for my slash goggles. And even I find it extremely difficult to read Cas' confession as anything but romantic.

But is Misha bisexual/queer? That's what I want to know (and hope).

(Anonymous) 2021-01-05 11:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, his wife did write a book called The Threesome Handbook. There could be something about his sex life in there.

(Anonymous) 2021-01-06 01:57 am (UTC)(link)
If gossip about old politicians has taught me anything, that does not lead no homophobia/biphobia, or even meaning that they consider themselves bi.

(Anonymous) 2021-01-06 07:12 am (UTC)(link)
I really don't want to assume he is, because his wife is. A nonny told me that there isn't much about his sex life in it.

(Anonymous) 2021-01-06 01:48 am (UTC)(link)
His wife is bi. I personally think Misha might be heteroflexible. He certainly doesn't mind messing around with gender performance.

My favorite Misha headcanon is that he has secret poetry instagrams. There's one with matching handwriting.

(Anonymous) 2021-01-06 02:39 am (UTC)(link)
I almost replied 'I thought it was canon that he was' before realizing what I'd done

99.99% of that was Destiel fans being their usual overdramatic selves, though.

I am so glad they were unhappy with the ending, because they've been stinking up that fandom for 11 years and it's about time they had some of the misery that they (not Castiel, not the show, but specifically the shippers) inflicted on anyone who dared to not ship their ship.

(And I got off easy, because I don't ship Wincest, either. They were vile to the Wincesters.)

(Anonymous) 2021-01-05 11:44 pm (UTC)(link)
And Wincesters were equally vile and were also actually vile to actual real world people like the girlfriends of thee actors, which is worse.

Not in the fandom anymore, never shipped anything. This fandom as a whole was always terrible.

(Anonymous) 2021-01-06 02:28 am (UTC)(link)
Destiel fans didn't do anything to people who "didn't ship their ship."

That's not the same as lacking patience for people who spent a lot of their fandom time shitting on their ship and on Castiel. There's a difference.

(Anonymous) 2021-01-06 01:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Some most definately did attack people who don't ship their ship and have now gone fully mental on SM shouting that wincest shippers should die and attacking one of the shows producers.

This is obviously not all of them but there is a hard core element who need to seriously get off twitter for their own health.

I haven't watched SPN in years, haven't seen the scene and only read about the drama, but that face is hilarious holy shit

(Anonymous) 2021-01-06 02:04 am (UTC)(link)
Dude, go look at some of the memes and jokes people made about that scene. I also haven't been invested in years and the lulz from that scene is still great.

(Anonymous) 2021-01-06 02:46 am (UTC)(link)
NAYRT - It's still the best way to find out about world events.
