Omg. Her character was so badly writte. She was the archetypal strong female character who fucks up her own supposed field of expertise numerous times and has to be saved by the men.

Dr Sattler in the first film was fecking amazing, so it was a bitter disappointment that Julianne Moore's character was crap.

I haven't read Lost World in a long time, but I remember her being really smart and bad-ass in the book, and incredibly well written. I also remember watching the movie after I finished the book and being really disappointed in almost everything about it, not just her character, but I especially couldn't stand what they did with her.
