1. But then what were they talking about? Cartoons? I'm not seeing how Princess Bubblegum and Finn's faces are any more diverse than generic shounen manga, honestly. Yeah you usually distinguish them by their hairstyles/clothes anyway. Isn't this how it's supposed to go?
2. Swear on your life there aren't too many white blond similar-faced men in Hollywood.

If one of those guy had different hair, they wouldn't look identical and nobody would say they did. Sameface is a big problem in all of animation. Do you know why so many anime characters have wacky hair colors? It's literally so the viewer can them apart. I have trouble telling faces apart in real life and on live actors if their hair and build are similar, but even I know there's a difference between my bad observation skills and literal sameface.

You're right... if those two characters weren't identical then no one would say they looked identical!
