Not just flames - people don't really want to bother with any sort of complaint that boils down to "I don't like that this thing you clearly labeled as being about X is about X!" You can be as sweet and polite about it as humanly possible, but if your complaint is that my story titled "Bob's anal fisting adventure", which is tagged with anal fisting and clearly references anal fisting in the summary does, in fact, contain anal fisting, my only response is going to be "don't like, don't read".

I think even mild unnecessary critiques have been called flames where I hear it, so yeah that includes complaints that could have been avoided by tags too.
