Yeah, this helped me enjoy fandom so much more. I write the stories because it's fun, and I edit the stories because I'm happier when I know that I did my best to make them as good as I could make them, and I post the stories because that's a sign to me to stop fiddling with them and move on to the next one.

Kudos are nice. Some comments are nice (some are baffling, others are infuriating). But they're bonus. The fun for me is writing the story.
