I feel fortunate to be mostly okay with my body at this point in my life, but it's honestly not remotely surprising that many, many women aren't, and I find it disingenuous when people act like, "God, how fucked up must you BE to HATE your own BODY?!"

Like...a pretty normal amount of fucked up, Jan. Have you seen the way society treats women and their bodies?

DA but like....the fact that it's normal is kind of a reason to feel sorry. It's not any individual's fault, but it's still possible to wish it wasn't like that for them, you know?

NAYRT I personally don't want people's pity, because with it comes this weird element of censure, as if enjoying m/m is inherently wrong and the only reason I enjoy it is because i'm broken in some way. Pretty sure i'd still enjoy it even if I didn't have a poisonous relationship with my own body and an aversion to m/f.

I mean, yeah, you probably would? It's not a replacement.

Feel sorry in general? Yes, absolutely. Feel sorry for individuals, in a way that's mostly condescending pity with weirdly judgmental facets? Pass.

Yupppppppppp.

That there is what we call "concern trolling." "I'm so sorry you have issues with yourself, but it's all right dear, we can't all be healthy and perfect and love ourselves like I do. Besides, if everyone was as woke as me, how would I be able to make these veiled comments of self-congratulation? There, there."
