I still think the ship is super icky and I do kinda side-eye the author for it but I also think anyone denying it was an idiot and should have just jumped fandom if it bothered them so much. I get that if you were a fan of the show/manga but hated that ship, it would be bothersome but damn, the ship has sailed so just block it and move on. It's not like it's going to change now.

Yyyyyep. I never watched the original show (for some reason), just had a basic working knowledge of it from proximity, and so when Yashahime was announced I saw people were already side-eyeing the fact Sess had kids. Now that it's been apparently confirmed that it went down exactly as they feared, I'm watching the same people freak out and be totally grossed out, and I'm thinking "...You were talking about this being sketchy before it started airing, don't tell me this comes as a shock."

But yeah, I guess with it being CONFIRMED instead of just suspicions, I get why it's time to move on. No longer can they rely on "Well, we don't KNOW..."
