4. IAWTC.
5. THE YUCK, IT BURNS. I -like- yaoi manga, but Okane ga Nai? WTF IS that thing among these HUGE, weird SEME MONSTERS?? It's NOT cute. Some of the chibi art is though. Those are adorable.
6. I agree too. Some people just like to have something to escape to, or just enjoy. I personally don't see why reality HAS to be nittygritty. Something beautiful can have just as much meaning as something made with 'realism'
12. I admit, I liked Advent Children, because (sans the wtf I went through with Cloud woeing when he was ALRIGHT at the end of FF7) it was truly a splendid work of animation, and the characters got to move on.
Even DOC in it's own right, helped characters move on but the only thing I had do say to THAT was... 'was it even necessary'? Like, can't WE make our own conclusions? It just added stuff that we're going to overlook ANYWAY since it was so strangely executed.
I'm personally a big fan of the characters, so I don't mind seeing more art on them. Instead of bashing the new stuff, either ignore it, or use it creatively to your own advantage? I have. It's given me some fun stuff to do for RP. ♥
But yeah, I guess I can see why you'd feel betrayed. But for that I blame fans, not the company, who assumed this was what fans would like.

(Anonymous) 2007-03-18 12:25 am (UTC)(link)You know, that's a damn good point and I appreciate you for stating it. And I'm not like... anti-totally-Nazi against AC; I have a bunch of AC icons and do enjoy the pretty renderings and stuff, but as I said in the comment thread below, I think they could have done a much better job with fleshing out the characters rather than introducing three new characters and trying to deal with everyone else as well. I also have to respectfully disagree with you about AC and DoC helping characters move on, and agree with your sentiment of "was it even necessary?" and "whytf was Cloud woeing?" XD; In my opinion, Cloud dealt with his past demons in his final battle with Sephiroth, which I always thought was implied to be in his own mind, and Vincent put his history with Hojo to rest when he said "Rest in peace, Hojo."
However, to each his own. D: Call it my fan frustration.

I share the frustration, don't worry. ♥ All's good here.

Re: Xy's too lazy to log in~
Not to mention is was just a shitty game.

However, as a student of animation, I'm easy to please where it comes to visuals. I loved seeing him in CG and the brief mention of Rufus was love, plus the creative work on the game was really lovely even if the game controls were weird.

No no, I agree with what you're saying. I guess I didn't word that right, I didn't see the point of AC and DOC because like you said, Cloud resolved his demons with Sephiroth and Vincent resolved his with the 'rest in peace'

The game was relatively pretty, but I'm a pretty adamant videogamer and there are much better, more stylistic and cohesive games out there that don't feature retarded dialogue and plotline, shitty controls, and exactly TWO enemy designs.
It doesn't help that I think Vincent looks retarded in DoC: too femininely wiry, has a weird face, hair to poke the eye out and child-bearin' hips.
To each his own, though.
