I'm so sorry anon about your Mom. :( And this dream sounds harrowing.

I think you should never take dreams too seriously, anon. Having said that, there are three themes here: your mom's loss of reason (wanting to drive into a crowd), you being unable to physically stop her (her being inside the car), and her being taken from you by overwhelming natural forces (the stream rising).

I think it's probably part of your brain still processing your grief anon.

SA Pressed enter too soon. All of those themes seem like an allegory for the Alzheimer's and losing her to it.
