+1, I'm Australian, and while Simone's accent certainly wasn't the worst Aussie accent I've heard, it was very distracting. And there's a lot of non-Australians working in academia here, why not let her use her real, British accent?

Off topic, but is there a particular bad fake Aussie accent that sticks out as "worst one ever? for you"

I'm not Australian, but I lived there for a while so... I think I kept forgetting that Simone was supposed to be Australian. It sounded more like "Brit who has lived in Australia long enough that her accent's starting to slip" to me.

It was particularly distracting since they'd previously had a joke about one of the demons putting on a bad Australian accent which... in hindsight wasn't that much worse than the 'real' accent they had Simone do.
