Oooh very true. I do try to spread more love though. Hate tends to suck the fun out of stuff.

I don't think fleshing out a cameo character is any better than just making one from scratch. If anything, I think it's a bit worst, just because it seems like you're setting up to use that as a justification/defense of your character. If you have a good OC, it can stand on its own legs.

orz, not that you can't be inspired by someone you see walking in the background, just don't tell anyone.

You have a good point. It's not that I claim they're canon characters based on one, brief appearance or anything...I just like having a face that I can see in the story's environment to visualize, if that makes any sense. Plus, it always makes it interesting when you get a chance to write how they see the main characters :)

The DGM one (my newest brainchild, since I just finished rereading) was kicked out of her aristocratic family for being cursed (read: conforming with Innocence)

Saa ne, we just need a place to post stuff like that. With moderated posting so we can weed out the SPARKLES. Because an OC comm does exist, but it embraces the Mary Sue.

Mine was the typical 'fall-into-story-from-the-modern-day'...with a twist. And, I mean, I know _everyone_ and their grandma says that, but I came up with a relatively plausible excuse based on canon. I shouldn't be so ridiculously proud of it...BUT I AM. How sad is that? It's not like it was genius or anything. D=

Haha, there's another train of thought wherein the events of DGM just don't happen until the present. It makes the mirrors easier to work with because of knowledge of light & EM waves that is semi-recent.(Not that Komui couldn't find a way around it, but for the Exorcist to be able to feasibly understand what they're doing... tl;dr)

A problem, though, would be fandom wise. Would it just be DGM? Pananimefandom? We need to be familiar with the canon in question to be able to properly weed out the garbage.

Yeah, but DGM fandom is pretty small and, well, dead, since the chapters are so far apart and it's always on hiatus... Maa, but if we had multiple mods to check through the entries, we could do more than one fandom. I mean, it's not like the place'll be overflowing, LOL, especially when they know everything's going to be moderated.

I don't even know why I think about it. I just do.

Cause it makes some degree of sense? Really disturbing creepy sense? Crack!fic idea! Timmy realizes he has a hopeless crush on Crocker and uses a wish to make himself older. There is much angst as this means Wanda and Cosmo won't be able to stay with Timmy. But twue wuv prevails, the wish is granted and Crocker and Timmy live happily ever after. Oh and canon is completely ignored by having Wanda and Cosmo be allowed to stick around and even able to meet Crocker which makes him sane and nice cause love can just do that.

God that would be terrible. I should completely write it.

I'll pay you in internet cookies. Or just eternal love because that is the best plot ever.
