Also nice that you assume I didn't lose anybody in 9/11 or wasn't effected by it greatly. I am a New Yorker y'know.

Slightly off topic but still more or less on topic, I suffer from depression and have dealt with suicidal thoughts for years. I've attempted suicide twice and thankfully have failed twice.

I make jokes about depression and suicide all the time. I find other jokes about them funny. So yes you can be close to the source material and still find it funny.

I'm going to assume you find the fact I made light of the fact Iraqi citizens died in huge numbers and reduced it to America punching them to be just as offensive as making fun of the towers falling?

It may not be okay for you, and that's fine. I respect that. However making light of tragic events is okay for me. The world is a horrible place and it's not getting better anytime soon. All we can do is laugh, try to stay sane and work for a better tomorrow.

Oh and speaking of offense? A New Yorker is a New Yorker period. Any stuck up City asshole that thinks differently can go fuck themselves.

I'm sorry about the last part, I'm a little too sensitive about the New Yorker thing.

I honestly don't know if my loved ones laugh at the jokes as much as I do. I don't tend to tell those jokes around them. It upsets them. So why tell a joke that's bound to piss people off on the internet? Cause it's the internet, and you're bound to offend somebody.

I do understand why my little script thing upset you. None of this conversation was to convince you not to be offended. I respect your offense even if I don't share it. Everybody deals with things their own way though. Humor is easiest for me. Also I was taking 185's bait Which was terribly immature of me I know.

Actually, it's debatable whether or not suicidal people "choose" suicide for themselves. As far as I know, the consensus is going towards a no (of course, we mean people who actually intend to do it. Not the "OMG, I'MMA KILL MYSELF IF YOU DON'T GO OUT WITH ME [person doesn't go out with them] OH TEEHEE JUST KIDDING"). Depression is certainly not something that people choose for themselves.
