I agree that the majority of actors have little choice over their costars.
That said, I'm intrigued as to who this secret is about.
I also think these things are complex. I'm thinking of Pedro Pascal who, despite being an admitted leftist, didn't join in the call to "cancel" his Mandalorian costar Gina Carano, who (disappointingly, according to her social media) is a right winged conspiracy believing moron. I don't know the truth of the situation but it seems he's friendly with her and I know, from experience, it's difficult to openly oppose someone who you have to work with, even if you think their political opinions are problematic.
