What's a keyboard slider? Is that the tray thing under a desk that a keyboard is supposed to sit on but that I never use because it's too weirdly low and awkward?

Yep, that thing. The keyboard slider was at a comfortable level for me to type, but now I have to put the keyboard on top of my desk and it’s too high (my desk chair doesn’t go up and down anymore).

Aw, I am sorry for your keyboard tray loss! I have had the same desk since college and I really need to replace it and my chair (yay chronic pain now) because they're too low and uncomfortable, but I can't afford it right now either. :(
