172. Every time we've seen a male Gallifreyan regenerate, they've regenerated as male. Every time we've seen a female Gallifreyan regenerate, they've regenerated as female. Why do all these people seem to think that cross-gender regeneration is possible and that you're sexist if you don't think it fits the canon? She could totally play an alien. She is awesome. But the Doctor is a guy. He won't regenerate into a woman. Neither will the Master. And Romana and the Rani will always be women. JFDWI.

180. OK, let me preface this by saying: it is ridiculous to cast white people as the Avatar characters, who are obviously Asian. WTF. Nobody is wrong to think this casting is fucked up and wrong and bad. That said, why do people think that annoying their friends will convince them to change their minds. "I'm not going to lj-cut this GIANT PICTURE (or long rant)" and "I'm going to link to it every day" and that sort of thing... You are not annoying the people who have the power to change the thing that is bothering you. You're pissing off your friends. I especially hate to see people do this with causes I support, because I feel that it turns people against those causes.
