I've no believing that DX

I think it'd make it *less* creepy if that's where they were all along rather than that he just summons this imagery out of nowhere in a rather pastoral setting.

That's really, really creepy. Damn. What happened to cute and harmless Pokémon while I wasn't looking?

It moved to the show. Well, the games are cute and harmless...and yes this guy is from the games, but he comes off as less malicious in it. Even though he wants to unmake the universe...it's viewed as almost "not really murder because everyone would be reborn in the new one"...or something. It's never actually directly addressed, but you get the feeling that he honestly wants to make it a better place, just going to the BIGGEST FUCKING EXTREME ANYONE COULD EVER GO TO to do so.

It's been said by fans that he's where Lawful Good loops back around and becomes Lawful Evil.

I'm not watching the show anymore, because it's repeat after repeat over here, but I'm playing Pearl right now. It really didn't come off as extreme like this. It would probably make the games more interesting, though. That if you make the wrong decisions at the wrong time, people and Pokémon will die.

Alas, the Pokémon games will probably never change :/

The show's got some serious baddies now. Not only these guys (although even then the most threatning thing they've done so far is threaten to blow up a small island. Sure it had some people on it, but less than ten), but they added a bounty hunter named J, who's completely ruthless. But they don't show up much. In between though they have a guy named Conway who's constantly trying to get in Dawn's skirt. No seriously. He follows her around and sneaks up behind her, and at one point everyone was at a trainer school for an extended course and they had to pair up, and Conway burst into her room in the middle of the night declaring that she should be his partner (everyone threw their pillows at him).

Which isn't exactly the G-rated fluff you're looking for but it's played for sillyness like how Brock is.

Hmm. I suppose Magical Pokemon Journey has the nice fluff, and it's an enjoyable read. Sadly it's out of print, although they'll start rereleasing it in Singapore sometime this year.

It would be awesome if Pokémon would come to grow up, jsut like the fans did.

We never get the interesting manga over here, sadly.

Hmm, you're in Germany? You might be able to import these series, since the one in the original secret is out in the US/Australia so I would assume you could get it from the UK (I'm not exactly sure where distribution is for these things but I'm in the US and an Aussie friend gets his at regular bookstores, so I would assume it's all English-speaking countries rather than just regional).

Yeah, maybe my regular bookstore can get them for me.
